I discovered the Pilates method after the 2  difficult c section deliveries of my 2 children. I had always exercised, but found Pilates to be the best method to re-activate my weakened abdominal muscles, improve my posture and to help me relax from all the everyday stresses of family life!

My previous profession was as a textile artist & tutor. Having an eye for detail & precision helps me when observing my clients movement  and  posture.

However teaching is what I do best as it is so rewarding on so many levels and so it seemed a natural progression to train with Body Control Pilates to teach the method. My teaching style welcomes everyone no matter what age or fitness level and is designed to break down the more difficult exercises to create both variety and  challenge.

Since completing the mat work certification in 2005 I have gone on to qualify with honours on  the Reformer and I have a R.E.P.S level 4 qualification specialising in lower back pain and a teaching qualification for the Cadillac. I have also taken courses in the Chair, Baby arc, Foam roller, Small balls, Swiss balls and Magic circle as well as Osteoporosis and bone health, and  Pre and Post natal Pilates.

I regularly attend courses and workshops which keep me up to date with the latest developments in teaching Pilates and anatomy. I  attend classes  myself on a weekly basis, as I believe that learning more about my body and continuing to be a student gives me more insight in helping my clients as well as discovering  more about the method.
